Lakewood, CO Why live in Lakewood, Colorado? Lakewood is nestled right in the middle of gorgeous mountain views and wonderful parks with walking trails. Lakewood is all about its community! There are tons of summer activities and events that go on all summer long. For instance, Belmar (gorgeous outside mall with lofts and row homes) has farmer markets every weekend with live music and tons of food. Then there’s the Lakewood Cultural Center that hosts live music and theatre productions. So don’t let this little town fool you…it is really quite hip! Lakewood is a great place to buy a home because the homes actually come with a little more property, mature landscaping and friendly neighbors that range from the first time home buyers to the “grandmas & grandpas” who have lived there all their lives. It’s a place where you can relax on your front porch and enjoy a quiet sunset without a care in the world! Littleton, CO I have to say that I am a little more prejudice when it comes to living in Littleton, CO because that is where I call home. It’s a place where you can see the mountain views from almost anywhere you stand and if you’re a water person…Chatfield Reservoir is right down the road (but I have to warn you, the mountains follow you no matter where you go). Littleton is like a cross between big city and quiet suburb living. You can go out to a fancy dinner one night and then join in the neighborhood bbq the next. There is such a variety of restaurants and shopping while at the same time your backyard is the foothills. Why buy a home in Littleton, CO? Whether you like the older ranch style homes or the feel of a metro-condo, Littleton has it all. People here really seem to care about their homes and you can find a block party going on somewhere almost every weekend of the summer. With C470 and 285 (highways) within minutes…you can be just about anywhere in Colorado in 30 minutes! Morrison, CO When I think of Morrison, Colorado, I always think of the quaint little town nestled right in the side of the mountains. However, it is a lot more than that! There’s the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre, or Bandimere Speedway, or the have to stop and eat at Morrison Inn (great Mexican food)! I go there on weekends to relax and unwind and always wonder how much less stress there would be in the world if everyone’s back yard was like Morrison! Morrison has really expanded…it had too! While living right in the heart of the historic town, you can actually spread out a little because Morrison shoulders up with Littleton. Morrison has it all now, luxury homes, quiet subdivisions, townhomes and even condos…think of it as Morrison with a twist! Talk about perfect…Littleton on one side and Lakewood on the other. This is why I love Colorado! |
